Birding Site Guide

This is the longest river in Spain and also its largest delta. Over 300 species of bird have been recorded here. Despite protection as a RAMSAR site, and in parts a Natural Park, hunting is still legal across most of the area. It is home to the world’s largest colony of Audouin’s Gulls. There is a wide range of places to stay of varying quality.
